"Be kindly affectioned one to another, with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another" Romans 12:5

Introduction from the East

Dearest Brethren,

What follows in the pages of this website is the continuation of a legacy. One need only peruse a sample of the communications and documentation of our recent past— the “Historical Souvenir Journal” of 1989 immediately comes to mind, to realize the richness of information and education waiting to be mined again. The word “again” is used here because it seems to this observer that much of the talent has gone dormant. There is a wealth of knowledge and skills amongst our craft. It is the aim of this project to stir and in some cases reawaken the creative craftsmen in our mitts. This Lodge of Research is a mechanism by which professionals of the craft may leave a mark for perpetuity. Enter here with an open mind and heart and ready to receive and bestow more light.

This lodge of Research is a work in progress. Each Lodge of Research has one thing in common—individuality. We will begin modestly and build slowly; the focus is on quality. The first order of business is to choose the officers. Right now all seats, with the exception of the Master, are open.  I know that I do not have to mention it, but the first slate of officers will go on the charter. After officers are chosen we will write our by-laws and open it up for general membership.

Even as we build, we will be writing. So, get involved, be a part of our rich history, and assist me in raising the Dr. Robert E. Terrell Lodge of Research.

Fraternally,

Patrick O’Neal Arnwine, Ed. D. 32°,
Master, Dr. Robert E. Terrell Lodge of Research
